Challenges
- Making the rotala red and stay red
- Maintaining a proper balance of nutrients to prevent algae
- Crystal Wart attaching to hairgrass and other plants in the aquarium
Solution
Consistent and precise fertilization, frequent small water changes and lighting adjustments
Result
Stable growth and minimal algae after several weeks of adjustments. The aquarium ran successfully for about 2 years before I took it down prior to moving to Tampa, FL.
